They have been renovated in the last one to three months. If you want to have the same amount paid for your house, you’re going to have to fix it up the same way as those other houses were fixed up, same level of rehabbing. A lot of people don’t realize that. They think, “Okay, maybe I renovated the house couple years ago. My kitchen and my bathrooms are great shape.” Well, they are great to you, but for the retail market, you’re competing for the top dollar with a house that was renovated in the last one to three months. So, if somebody walks into that other house, it’s going to look like it’s almost brand new. So obviously, they going to sell it for a higher amount than yours.

There’s different ways these formulas work. But basically, if you want to deal with contractors, and real estate agents, it will take some time to sell your house. It may take months. You have to fix up the house, put it on the market, do showings, and everything. If you’re remote, let’s say in another state, that may be a bit of a challenge, obviously.
